(BRACKLEY BEACH, PE – January 15th, 2025) – McNeill-Hughes Motorsports has announced a rebranding to East Coast International Racing ahead of the 2025 racing season in Atlantic Canada. The team will once again have racing veteran Chris Hughes of Brackley Beach, Prince Edward Island behind the wheel of their No. 32 East Coast International Chevrolet. The team is expected to make their 2025 season debut at Scotia Speedworld outside of Halifax, Nova Scotia on Saturday, May 24th and will compete in ten Pro Stock/Pro Late Model races throughout the Maritimes.

Hughes, who is the Branch Manager at the Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island location of East Coast International, will carry the East Coast International branding for a second consecutive season as a primary marketing partner.
“We’re thrilled to return as a sponsor for Chris and the McNeill-Hughes Motorsports team. This partnership not only allows us to support one of our own, but also keeps us connected to the sport, and our customers who enjoy being part of it,” says Terri Arseneault, Vice President Heavy Truck Division. “The McNeill-Hughes Motorsports team have been around for many years, and we look forward to supporting them in 2025.”

Hughes has 144 starts on the Maritime Pro Stock Tour (MPST) and is one of only four drivers to have competed in the first Series event in 2001 at Scotia Speedworld that competed at least one on the Tours in 2024. In 2024, Hughes competed in eight races in the Maritime Pro Stock Tour, finishing tenth in the standings with three top ten finishes, including a pole position and fourth place effort at their home track of Oyster Bed Speedway in Oyster Bed Bridge, Prince Edward Island.

The No. 32 team has competed in a handful of Easy-Kleen Super Late Model Series (SLMS) races in the two years of the Series, yielding three top ten finishes. With the schedule for the 2025 season yet to be released as of press time, it is expected the No. 32 team will compete in, at least, the two Series appearances at Oyster Bed Speedway.
